Donation to Amyloid Research Fund at Vanderbilt University Medical Center

The Amyloidosis Foundation and Present Troubles Racing donated $10,000 to the Amyloid Research Fund at Vanderbilt Univeristy Medical Center in Nashville, TN on December 9, 2015. The donation was made by Charlotte Haffner, Amyloidosis Foundation board member, and Leslie Schumacher-McKee on behalf of Present Troubles Racing, a non-profit organization in Franklin, TN that raises funds and awareness about Amyloidosis.

The check was presented to Daniel Lenihan, MD and Stacey Goodman, MD of the Vanderbilt Amyloidosis Multidisciplinary Program (VAMP) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

On October 16, 2015 the foundation held their Nashville Gala at the Country Music Hall of Fame to benefit the Amyloid Research Fund. Present Troubles Racing held their annual Hills & Hollers Half Marathon/5k on November 14, 2015 with proceeds donated to the fund as well.
